Consultations between authorized officials of the ministries and agencies of the CSTO member states on the coordination of the CSTO draft program for military and economic cooperation through 2017 and further prospects took place in Moscow on 23-24 June, BelTA learnt from CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov.
The participants of the consultations finalized and coordinated the draft program taking into account proposals voiced during its interstate coordination. “The document is envisaged for submission to the CSTO Permanent Council in order to consider it for the submission to the CSTO charter bodies,” the spokesman said.
The major goals of the program is to work out conceptual approaches to implement a set of events aimed at uniting and coordinating the efforts of the CSTO member states in strengthening and improving multilateral cooperation in the development and production of military goods and the utilization of dual-use technology. The program is aimed at solving tasks of securing favorable conditions for the development and integration of the CSTO member states in the military and economic sector.
