Dushanbe is playing host to the joint meeting of the Foreign Ministers Council, Defense Ministers Council and the Committee of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the CSTO member states, BelTA informs.
Belarus is represented at the meeting by Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei, Defense Minister Andrei Ravkov and acting State Secretary of the Security Council Stanislav Zas.
This time the meeting is taking place not on the day before the CSTO Collective Security Council but literally two hours ahead of the heads of state’s summit. Therefore, the Tajikistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs called upon his counterparts for well-coordinated work.
The agenda of the joint meeting comprises 24 issues related to the improvement of the collective security system, strengthening of the military cooperation and peacekeeping potential, optimization of the CSTO military management system, and response to emergencies.
