Sessions of the CIS Foreign Ministers’ Council and the CIS Council of the Heads of State will be held in Kazakhstan on 15-16 October. The heads of state will consider the draft documents dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the United Nations and the 30th anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. In addition, the heads of state are set to adopt the documents regulating cooperation in the field of migration, the fight against crime, culture, disaster management, border security, and will also consider the issues related to the development of cooperation in the military sphere.
Part of the documents will be discussed by the Foreign Ministers on 15 October. In addition, the Foreign Ministers will discuss the plans to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the CIS, to promote international youth cooperation and physical culture and sports in the mid-term perspective and will review the activities of the Council of Heads of State News Agencies and the formation of the CIS base organizations.
