The Army-2016 international forum organized bythe Russian Defense Ministry has kicked off and will last through Sunday. The forum is held in the Patriot Park near Moscow with the participation of over 80 countries. Defense Minister of Russia Sergey Shoigu delivered the opening speech, Armenpress reports.
Compared to the last year’s forum, this year innovative solutions are more largely represented and the geography of the participants has expanded. Three post-Soviet states, Armenia, Belarus and Kazakhstan have showcased a great number military and technical innovations.
Undoubtedly, such a broad representation contributes to the intensification of international cooperation in the military sphere, the Russian Defense Minister announced. I am convinced Army-2016 forum will promote a constructive exchange of ideas between the Defense Ministries and the representatives of the scientific-industrial complexes of the participant states.
Belarus has introduced modern optical systems, combat robots and the “Avtojir” aerial machine, Armenia has introduced artillery aiming devices suitable for use in the mountainous conditions. Kazakhstan showcases armored vehicles.
