Belarus is often viewed as an island of stability in the region, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with the delegation of the Political and Security Committee of the Council of the European Union on 21 November, BelTA has learned.
“Belarus is often viewed as an island of stability in the region. There is nothing surprising in it. Our country is the only of six member states of the Eastern Partnership initiatives where there are no military or frozen conflicts,” the head of state said.
