Belarus, Latvia discuss international security



Minsk played host to consultations on international security between the ministries of foreign affairs of Belarus and Latvia on 14 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The parties discussed the security situation in the European region, arms control issues, ways to strengthen trust and security and step up cooperation in international organizations, and a number of other matters,” the press service said.

The Belarusian delegation to the consultations was led by Alexander Chesnovsky, Head of the International Security and Arms Control Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Latvian delegation was headed by Ingrida Levrence, Director General of the Directorate of Security Policy and International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia.
