Belarus’ Special Operations Forces paratroopers for the first time will land on parachutes on drifting ice floe in the central water area of the Arctic Ocean in April.
The activities in the Arctic area are carried out jointly with the contingents of the CSTO Rapid Reaction Force in the format of humanitarian search and rescue training expedition.
This training is carried out jointly with the Russian Military Transport aviation and the Expedition Centre of the Russian Geographical Society.
Belarusian military personnel who are to carry out landing have been previously trained on the basis of the he 76th Guards Air Assault Division (Pskov).
