On August 30 the special coordinator of the OSCE short-term observer mission at the elections to the House of Representatives of the Republic met with head of the upper chamber of the Belarus parliament.
Chairman of the upper chamber of the parliament offered the guests not only get acquainted with the course of the election campaign, but also to study socio-political situation in the country, pay attention to how the national economy is developing and how Belarus is building international relations.

The Republic of Belarus has been a full member of the OSCE for 24 years. I will not hide the fact that we are satisfied that there is an active development of dialogue between Europe and Belarus. We are very interested in this. Maybe the OSCE as an authoritative international organization will find out Belarusian experience useful as we are a new independent state.
